Two Westchester clothing stores have big announcements this month.
Lester’s, the longtime fashion retailer for women and girls, is celebrating the opening of a men’s store in Rye Brook.
Lester’s has been in operation for more than 65 years and last year opened up its current store in Rye Brook at 18 Rye Ridge Plaza, which has led to significant business growth throughout Westchester, according to Lester’s Owner and CEO, Perry Schorr.
The new outpost, Lester’s Boys & Men’s store, will open adjacent to the their original store.
The “soft” opening is scheduled for August 4, and its grand opening, timed with the kick-off of back-to-school shopping, is scheduled for August 20.
The grand opening will feature entertainment, raffles, food, and more.
“The opening of our new Boys and Men’s store emerged out of a dialogue with our customers about how better to meet the specific style profile of under-served, style-conscious high school through twenty-something young men,” said Schorr in a statement. “We applied what has been a successful model for our kids, juniors and women’s contemporary business and created a unique and dynamic environment all their own with the all latest styles and brands they seek from everyday casual cool to well-tailored styles forgoing out.”
In White Plains, the Westchester branch of Bloomingdales is celebrating its 40th anniversary coming up on September 12.
Bloomingdales will be using the anniversary as an opportunity to showcase its fall fashion line.
At the celebration, the White Plain’s Bloomingdales store will also feature a fashion show, food and drink, and a DJ.
