We like that Green Earth Design Owner Mitchell Siegel employs RISD and Parsons students to design his eco-cool products, which are then produced in his factory in the Philippines. We also like that he provides clean water and regular meals for his workers and school for their children—he even built a basketball court, for goodness’ sake. And, of course, we covet his products, particularly this tall resin urn embedded with a tobacco-leaf vein, $1,200. The smaller urn has slices of bamboo set in resin and is available in a variety of colors and sizes; prices range from $150 to $1,000; as shown, $300. We’re told musician Usher has a slew of Green Earth Design mosaic pieces in his home; shouldn’t you pick up a piece or two as well? Bunbun ottoman, $600. All items at Green Earth Design (516 W Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck 914-835-6500; greenearthdesignco.com).
