The Deal | Why |
Ticket Deals Westchester Broadway Theatre “Economic Stimulus Program” Elmsford (914) 592-2222 |
The Theatre provides a menu of bargains: • On “Opportunity Wednesdays,” it shuts down its kitchen so you can enjoy bar service and the play for $30. • On “Buy One Get One-Half Off Thursdays,” a full-price ticket to a Thursday performance of the current show will earn you 50 percent off a Thursday ticket to the next one. • On “Family-Friendly Fridays,” you can bring a child for free (our favorite word) when you buy a full-price adult ticket. • Finally, on “Sharing and Caring Sundays,” a full-price adult ticket will earn you 50 percent off a second ticket, so you don’t have to go to the theater alone. Check with the theater to find out which performances have these deals available. |

Bargain Date Slapering Hol Press Second Friday Café at the Hudson Valley Writers’ Center Sleepy Hollow (914) 332-5953 |
How’s this sound for a date: a little wine, some cheese, a poetry reading, and a Q&A afterward with the poets? Poetry is romantic, you get to look smart—and the whole thing costs only five dollars. The series resumes in October. |
Best Use of $5 Our Local Museums |
Why shell out a “suggested donation” of 20 bucks for MoMA? The Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden, Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, Hudson River Museum, Katonah Museum of Art, and Neuberger Museum of Art and are all just $5 for admission. |
