After a four-year hiatus, Championship golf returns to Westchester this summer, when the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship bows at the Westchester Country Club in Harrison. Held August 18 to 21, this year’s championship offers a $2.7 million purse and a $405,000 winning share. “We are excited to bring championship golf back to the Westchester area,” says Steve Schoenfeld, executive tournament director of the event and a White Plains native. “Most of the Champion Tour players have played at Westchester Country Club many times when the PGA Tour used to play here, and many have told me that they are looking forward to returning.”
The PGA donates revenue from advance ground ticket sales to participating local charities, a long-standing tradition. For more info on the tournament, including how to volunteer and how to purchase tickets, visit ceseniorplayers.com.
