January 2007

Dear Westchester Magazine Reader,

We at Westchester Magazine are proud to present our Fifth Annual Social Datebook—a resource you can depend on each year as a handy guide to the various charity events in and around our county. Providing this guide is one way Westchester Magazine is committed to helping the many Westchester organizations that support important programs and serve worthy causes. The 2007 Social Datebook lists nearly 200 Westchester events for the coming year—from January through December.

The response to our annual guide has been positive from all sides. Many of you have let us know over the years how much you appreciate this annual listing of events that help fund the organizations and charities you care so much about. We also hear from organizations and charities that, thanks to our Datebook, ticket sales for their fund-raisers have increased.

We try to include as many charitable events as possible, but, inevitably, we miss a few. Some organizations are finalizing their event plans as we go to press; others are just beginning. But not to worry: we will continue to keep you informed throughout the year by posting on our website, westchestermagazine.com, updates and new entries as soon as they become available.

We hope you will visit our site frequently and that you will use the 2007 Social Datebook as your guide to Westchester’s galas, fund-raisers, and other significant cultural and social happenings. Let us know what you think—we always appreciate your feedback. Feel free to e-mail me at rmartinelli@westchestermagazine.com. I look forward to hearing from you and I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you personally at a social event this year.
