If there were an award for designing challenging rooms, this Briarcliff Manor bedroom would take the prize, the judges agreed. “The fresh green and white wallpaper work with the difficult architecture to create a pleasing backdrop for the bed area,” NYSID Associate Dean Victoria Whitlock says. “And the bathroom is nicely balanced with an interesting cabinet and subtle tile over the bathtub.” Designer Laura Tutun selected a hand-painted Gracie paper, custom bed, Hickory Chair furniture, and a J.D. Staron rug. The bathroom vanity is a customized dresser; the polished Thassos tile is from Greenwich Tile & Marble.
