The last few times They Might Be Giants toured through our area, they were targeting an unusual audience for a rock band: your kids. After releasing the kids’ record Here Comes Science, the band has finished dabbling in children’s albums for the moment, and are now gearing their new tour to the regular, older-than-pre-K set. But the adult focus doesn’t mean they’ve abandoned the offbeat—and, some might say, nerdy—subjects they usually sing about, as the title of their most recent record, Nanobots, can attest. Grow those nanobots up at the Tarrytown Music Hall on March 21.
