Nature Camps

Is your child fascinated by the beauty of the natural world? Westchester County Parks has various nature camps for children entering grades pre-k through nine for fun, hands-on experience at the county’s nature centers. Camps include Read Nature, Lenoir Nature, Marshlands Nature, and Trailside Nature. Campers are allowed three weeks max. No Limit Ninja & Hi-Five Summer Sports Camp

No Limit Ninja & Hi-Five sports camp promises a summer of adventure, skill-building, and non-stop action. The summer program runs from June 30 to August 18 for ages five and up. For kids who are always on the move and have tons of energy to exert, this program offers safe and supportive ninja obstacle courses with the guidance of expert coaches. The morning activities alternate between sports and ninja training as well as different activities (tailored to each age group) on rotation during the afternoon. Slam Dunk Summer Camp

Slam Dunk Basketball Camp helps boys and girls in grades three to nine strengthen their basketball knowledge and develop basketball skills. There are five sessions in total, and all are open to county residents and nonresidents. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The price per session for Westchester residents is $375 and $400 for nonresidents. Register here.

Steve & Kate’s Camp

Steve & Kate’s Camp in Tarrytown lets campers choose their own activities, giving them the freedom to grow, expand, and evolve. Some activities include coding, sewing, baking, and filming. Parents also reap the benefits of this fantastic camp. Parents can select the camp days and pickup and drop-off hours. Food and tasty snacks are provided, and parents receive a refund for all unused hours at the end of summer. The summer program runs from June 30 to August 29 and will be closed on July 4. Children’s Hole-in-One Golf Camps

Campers ages seven to 17 have the chance to hone and develop their golf skills at six Westchester County golf courses this summer. HEAT Baseball Summer Camp

Ready, set, play ball! In partnership with Westchester County Parks, the HEAT Baseball Summer Camp is open for registration for baseball lovers and campers ages eight to 15. Camp will be held at V.E. Macy Park in Ardsley for week-long baseball instruction, including fielding, pitching, hitting, base running, strength conditioning, game situations, and baseball IQ from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Campers are divided in two age groups: one for ages eight to 11 and the other for ages 12 to 15. There are a total of four summer sessions, with the first one starting June 30 and the last one ending on July 25. Check session availability and enroll here.

Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center Summer Camp

For children interested in farms and the outdoors, Hilltop Hanover is the perfect camp for children entering grades pre-k all the way to eighth grade. Campers will be able to spend time in the gardens and engaging in activities like hiking, games, and crafts to deepen their understanding of nature. One-week sessions start Monday, July 28 and run through Friday, August 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Half-day sessions are $175 per camper and $350 for full-day sessions; $200 per camper for half-day sessions and $400 for full-day sessions for nonresidents. Katonah Art Center

At the Katonah Art Center, there is a summer camp program for various age groups. There are Art & Imagination Camps for campers ages 3.5 to five, a Kids Camp for grades one to five, and Teen Camps for grades six to 12. The art center provides a warm and welcoming environment with a creative mix of arts and crafts projects, free art play, story time, outdoor playtime, and collaborative art. Campers are encouraged to bring a daily snack. All art camps are one-week sessions with half-day, full-day, and extended day options. Full-day campers should bring lunch with them.
