You don’t have to be a baseball enthusiast to attend Summer Trails (which offers both traditional camp and co-ed baseball camp), but if you’re a kid who loves baseball, it’s hard to imagine why you’d go anywhere else. Summer Trails boasts 20 acres of secluded property with two heated pools, a lake, nature trails, ball fields, and creative-arts facilities.
Since Summer Trails opened in 1974, baseball campers have been taught the national pastime through instruction, game play and meeting the pros. On the traditional camp side, campers are exposed to more than 60 activities in group sports, creative arts, and swimming. Plus, this summer the camp is unveiling an upgraded nine-hole miniature golf course and boulder-climbing wall.
A Yankee Came To Town
In 2015, New York Yankee Didi Gregorius (above) visited Summer Trails’ baseball camp to provide some tips and tidbits about the game. In fact, more than 70 professional baseball players have come over the years to provide advice and inspiration to Summer Trails’ aspiring baseball stars.
