The homeowner wanted to marry old world style with contemporary appeal in this powder room. The black and white marble floor mosaic with gold glass inlay is the star of the show. Rich furnishings, like the elegant unlacquered brass sink console, gold spun-thread metal mirror, and crystal center light, are surrounded by a durable wallpaper from Phillip Jeffries.

This powder room is used by the home’s guests as well as their children, so the designer gave it a fun twist by adding a bright blue vanity and brass accents in the form of the pendants and faucet. The design is trendy, and “it doesn’t take itself too seriously.” Its fun nature is reflective of the young homeowners.
