SUP Yoga on The Hudson
Horan’s Landing, Sleepy Hollow
Not only are these yoga classes held outdoors, but they’re also conducted on the Hudson River atop paddleboards. Rivertowns SUP & Yoga, founded in 2018 by Tarrytown resident Tara Scheller, offers SUP Yoga on the Hudson in collaboration with the Village of Sleepy Hollow. The classes take place on Thursday evenings throughout the summer and on select Saturday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. They are filled with chatter, paddling, and learning. While SUP yoga requires ample coordination and balance, falling into the water can be part of the fun! Guests will learn the basics of paddleboarding, including how to kneel, stand, and use basic paddle techniques. Additionally, a combination of flowing movements and steady postures designed to awaken your core muscles, practice trust, strengthen the body, and calm your mind will be included. Classes cost $55 per person, or $40 per person if bringing your own board.
