Clay Time

Take a walk on the wild side during this show that investigates what exactly it means to be exotic. On exhibit from October 11 to March 9 at the Hudson River Museum, Clay Conversations: Ceramics From the Gilded to the Digital Age includes a host of ceramic works, ranging from porcelain vases to cotemporary dishware generated by artificial intelligence, each exploring ceramics’ relationship to exclusivity and exoticism. The exhibit features selections from the museum’s Chinese porcelain collection, the work of five New York-based artists, and a large-scale mixed media piece by Yonkers’ Rachel Sydlowski.
