I’m Balkan Here!
Balkan music is alive and well in Westchester with a visit by The Klezmatics. The only klezmer band to ever take home a Grammy, The Klezmatics combine Eastern European Jewish tradition with musical influences ranging from African beats and Latin licks to Balkan rhythms, gritty punk, and modern jazz. A product of New York City’s East Village, these local heroes will take the stage this month at Purchase College’s Performing Arts Center.

Flute Loops
From 1967 to the present day, English rockers Jethro Tull have been knocking fans’ socks off. Initially focused on blues and jazz, the band has grown to encompass English folk, hard rock, and classical music over the years, often highlighted by Ian Anderson’s telltale flute solos. This upcoming performance at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre, led by Anderson, will feature hits from the past seven decades of the band’s iconic career.
