Scarsdale This library is fully paneled in natural walnut. A painting by James Kennedy contrasts the darker wood and the two pendant fixtures from McEwan Lighting are light and airy. A modern sofa by Holly Hunt and a leather/bronze desk by Christian Liaigre juxtaposes the classic woodwork in the space balancing everything.

Armonk This home office is used by both spouses so it needed to be a space they both could enjoy. Designer Wendy Strauss also created a design that would flow with the rest of the home, creating a space that is earthy with warm tones including warm creams and browns with inviting accessories and furnishings. She started with the two-toned oak custom cabinetry, which compliments the rest of the design.

West Harrison To give this space a cozy, library feel, custom built-ins were added on either side of the French doors in a rich blue to pick up on the neutral grass cloth wallpaper with hints of navy. The casework was painted the same color, Benjamin Moore’s Newbury Port Blue. Brass hardware, beautiful accessories, a shaded wool flat weave rug, and a walnut desk were added to give the space a masculine feel.
