With rainy fall days and chilly winter weather ahead, be sure to bookmark these indoor activities that are perfect for keeping kids entertained in Westchester this season.
A Maze In Pottery

If your kid loves arts and crafts, plan a day at A Maze In Pottery in Briarcliff. The studio carries over 500 bisque items to choose from, including vases, mugs, bowls, animal figurines, and more. After a piece is selected, guests will begin painting, choosing from more than 80 non-toxic, lead-free, and food-safe pottery under-glazed paints. The store doesn’t charge by the hour, meaning you can stay as long as you would like to creat your piece. When your masterpiece is finished, the shop will glaze and fire it in the kilns. Your piece will be shiny, food-, microwave-, and dishwasher-safe, and it will be ready for pickup in one week. Pottery pieces range from $4-$80 apiece.

If your kid is always bouncing off the walls, head over to BounceU in Elmsford. The locally owned and operated indoor play center offers open bounce play. Check the online calendar for weekly events during which your kids can bounce off the walls and burn off all their energy!
Edge VR

Edge VR offers advanced socially interactive virtual reality experiences in Westchester County. It has two tier options which are suited for ages 10 and up. The first is a fully interactive, multi-player VR adventure called “The Edge of Space.” Guests are able to choose a full body avatar and walk freely, walking with friends and objects. The second tier is more graphic and horror-oriented with a shooter adventure. It’s recommended that you book a time slot beforehand or call to make sure there’s space.
Hapik

Hapik takes rock climbing to the next level with over 10,000 square feet of fun, two rope courses, and more than 150 routes across 50 climbing walls. Kids will be able to challenge themselves and compete with friends while climbing to new heights (26 feet to be exact). The new climbing gym is in Ridge Hill and features an onsite snack bar and seating area. Single climbing passes cost $27.90 for two hours of climbing.
Movement

Another more traditional climbing option in Westchester County is Movement in Valhalla. The gym has been part of the community for over 15 years and is a hotspot for birthday parties and summer camps, as well as climbing regulars. Youths ages 13 and under must have active adult supervision while inside the gym.
Spins Hudson

Come one, come all to the largest entertainment venue on the Hudson. Everyone in your family will be entertained in this 40,000-square-foot adventure venue. Activities include an aerial ropes course, axe throwing, a two-story laser tag arena, and an arcade. Not only will your little ones be entertained all day long, but you can dine and have a cold beverage courtesy of River Outpost Brewing Co.
Sky Zone

Soar on over to Sky Zone to experience a trampoline park like never before. The park offers standard single-day passes for 90 minutes of jumping, an all-day pass for unlimited access to every attraction, and two membership packages. Tig and Peach

Tig and Peach creates a safe space for little ones to play, learn, and grow alongside their parents, peers, and caregivers. No reservations are required for the seven-day-a-week open play, which costs $35 per child. Memberships and sibling discounts are also available. The open play is intended for children ages nine months to six years. The previous Best of Westchester winner for indoor play space was opened by two Pelham moms who bonded over their desire to have access to a play space where their kids could flourish and engage in activities and exciting toys.
Westchester Children’s Museum

The Westchester Children’s Museum is open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., making it a go-to destination. The museum hosts ample weekly events and seasonal activities. It offers STEAM-based learning and play exhibition for children through fifth grade. Tickets cost $14 for adults and children above one.
Westchester Ninja Warriors

If your kid is on the adventurous side, check out Westchester Ninja Warriors in Elmsford. It holds weekly open gyms at which your kid can run through child-friendly ninja obstacles. Open play costs $25 per child and is available for little ones, two- to five-year-olds, and youths ages six to 12. The facility houses a variety of courses, machines, classes, competitions, and activities for every age and skill set.
