A hamlet in the town of North Castle, Armonk boasts the corporate headquarters of IBM, Swiss Re, and MBIA, but don’t let that fool you. The town is also home to the kind of small-town living that makes people love Westchester, with high-fashion boutiques, historic charm, and local eateries. So, go enjoy your Saturday in Armonk!

11 a.m. – Start Your Day Late with Breakfast & Lunch at The Beehive

Let breakfast bleed into lunch at The Beehive (30 Old Rte 22; 914.765.0688). While the menu does include healthier options, this is the time to ditch your diet and indulge in elevated diner classics, like challah French toast, plate-sized cinnamon buns, banana pancakes, waffles, and eggs with crispy hash browns.

12:30 p.m. – Do Some Shopping on Main Street

Give your credit card a workout at Main Street’s boutiques. Browse sweaters, candles, weekender bags, and more, often from small, New York-based designers, at STILE: Fashion Home (428 Main St.; 914.273.2350). Then, check out sleek Tru Grace (419 Main St.; 914.273.9600) for downtown-cool looks from designers like Isabel Marant and Alexandre Birman.

2:30 p.m. – Take a Walk Down the Bedford Road Historic District

Turn down Bedford Road, toward Maple Avenue. This short stretch is the Bedford Road Historic District, with nine wood-frame buildings from the mid-1800s. At the end of the block, stop to appreciate St. Stephen’s Church (50 Bedford Rd.; 914.273.3812). Built in 1842, the timber-lined Greek Revival building has been a community hub for more than 175 years, with the tombstones of 22 Civil War soldiers in its adjacent cemetery.

4 p.m. – Do Some Shopping at LUXE Luxury Labels

Back in town, hit LUXE Luxury Labels (41 Maple Ave.; 914.861.2649) before it closes. The high-end consignment shop is the place to score a deal on Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Jimmy Choo, YSL, and more.

5 p.m. – Grab a Slice and a Drink at Fortina

You’re at Fortina (17 Maple Ave.; 914.273.0900) just before the end of happy hour. Grab a couple seats at the wide stone bar to take advantage of deals on drinks, chicken-parm sliders, garlic knots, and select pizzas. Some mozzarella sticks wouldn’t hurt either.

7 p.m. – Have a Sugar Rush at Sugar Hi

Your Saturday in Armonk cannot be complete until you head to Sugar Hi (380 Main St. #1821; 914.273.4777) and get any sweet you can imagine. Head in for their homemade classic ring ding or maybe some of their banana pudding. Don’t forget some extra candy for the road.

9 p.m. – Enjoy Your Stay at the Stanton House Inn

Although this inn is a little drive away, it is completely worth it. The Stanton House Inn (76 Maple Ave.; 203.869.2110) was built in 1843 and later turned into a bed and breakfast in 1985. This inn features 20 beautiful rooms and suites with a complimentary breakfast and an outdoor pool. This is truly one of the most romantic getaways in the New York Tri-State area.
