Our jam-packed Fall Arts Preview tells you where to get out and see art in the County, but this month there are also plenty of opportunities for you to bring some new art home with you. Start by heading to Lyndhurst in Tarrytown for its annual Fall Crafts at Lyndhurst (artrider.com) from September 20 to 22. There, more than 275 artists will converge to show off their one-of-a-kind works, including accessories, fashion, furniture, and home décor items. Then, on September 28 and 29, the Armonk Outdoor Art Show (armonkoutdoorartshow.org) returns for its 52nd year, taking up residence on Business Park Drive. In addition to the 185 juried artists, the show will have docent tours, live music, a film screening, and a full food court. If you’re looking for something more of-the-moment, on September 28 artists will take to the streets of the Sound Shore for plein-air painting. At night, the results of their work will be put up for bid at a cocktail party at the Rye Arts Center (ryeartscenter.org), benefitting both the Center and Dance for Parkinson’s, making for guilt-free spending.
