Dancing With The Stars Live! Comes To Westchester

We spoke with pro dancer Lindsay Arnold, who will be performing with the rest of the show in Westchester tonight.

The Dancing With the Stars Live! Dance All Night Tour is coming to the Westchester County Center tonight and we got the inside scoop on what to expect from one of the show’s professional dancers, Lindsay Arnold.

After a competitive season, Arnold says the live show provides a nice change of pace for the professionals—they have the chance to perform in an exciting, more dramatic performance than what you see on TV.

“What’s different about it is there is more pro with pro dancing, so I’m dancing with professionals a lot more than I am on the television show, which is great because I can show my full abilities,” says Arnold, who is performing on her first live tour.  “We can really show what we do and what we’ve trained our whole lives to do.”

Arnold was previously a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance and returned to Dancing With the Stars this past season for her second run as one of the pros with her celebrity partner Alek Skarlatos. Skarlatos, a finalist in season 21, is an Army National Guard Specialist whose heroic act of subduing a gunman who opened fire on a train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris was praised by people from everywhere around the world.

“Getting to work with him and kind of teach him the ropes not just on dancing, but on this whole Hollywood lifestyle was really incredible for me,”Arnold says.

Lucky for Arnold, Alek was the only celebrity chosen to continue on after the season with the live tour. Fans can expect to see some familiar dances from the season, along with some newly choreographed performances just for the tour.

“It’s really exciting because I get to dance some of my dances from the season with him and then I dance with a lot of the professionals as well, so it works out perfect,” Arnold says. “I kind of get the best of both worlds.”
