In the ’80s, when girls just wanted to have fun, time after time you’d witness them popping in their cassettes of Cyndi Lauper’s She’s So Unusual and listening to it all through the night. (If you can spot references to four She’s So Unusual song titles in the previous sentence, you must’ve been there.) To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Lauper is performing the album in its entirety at The Ridgefield Playhouse on November 16. There, you’ll hear some of the singer’s biggest hits: “True Colors,” “Time After Time,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “She Bop,” and all the other songs you remember singing into a hairbrush during sleepovers.
