Spring Mushroom Walk 

Rockefeller State Park Preserve, Pleasantville
May 20, 12-2 p.m.

Mushrooms and fungi, anyone? Join Lindsey Jerome, senior ecological monitoring coordinator at Stone Barns, for a fungus walk through the woods to uncover all the hidden secrets of mushrooms and fungi. You will also learn about their crucial role in the ecosystem. The walk starts at 12 p.m. from the Visitor Center courtyard. For a comfortable walk, wear boots or sneakers. Bug spray is recommended. Tickets are $4 per person, and anyone interested can register here.

Gentle Yoga & Stretching 

The Bruce Museum Seaside Center, Old Greenwich
May 22, 9:30–10:30 a.m.

There’s no better way to recharge than with yoga by the water. Reconnect with nature through yoga and meditation on the beach. Bring your yoga mat or towel and prepare for a serene yoga experience. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Additional dates include June 26, July 17, and August 21 from 9:30-10 a.m. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Register in advance here.

Open Mic at Jolo’s 

Jolo’s, New Rochelle
May 23, 7:30 p.m.

Open Mic at Jolo’s is a welcoming place for anyone to share their hidden talents. Jolo’s, a vegan food bar and lounge, hosts a monthly open mic for poets, musicians, writers, business owners, dancers, and artists to express their creativity. Spectators are welcome to join and support local talent as well. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Lenoir Nature Preserve to Untermyer Gardens Walk 

Lenoir Nature Preserve, Yonkers
May 24, 10 a.m.

Are you ready to get your steps in this weekend? Join the Lenoir Nature Preserve for a three-hour, three-mile walk along the northwest section of Yonkers. The walk starts at Lenoir Nature Preserve, passes the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, and then heads to Untermyer Gardens. Plus, you’ll get to learn about the history of the Old Croton Aqueduct. Jazzy Brunch With Jaana Narsipur 

Jazz on Main, Mount Kisco
May 25, 12–2 p.m.

New York-based jazz vocalist Jaana Narsipur will be performing classic swing and soul-jazz, along with inflections of groove and blues at Jazz on Main. In Westchester, Narsipur has performed in places like Alvin & Friends, The Bean Runner Café, and First Name Basis in Hastings. She has also performed in many NYC locations like the Flatiron Room in Midtown and in the weekly series, Jazz Nites, at Pangea in the East Village. During the May 25 show, Australian-born multi-instrumentalist Andrew Swift will join for a guitar performance. There is no cover charge, but there is a minimum spend of $25 for food and drinks.
