Saxon Woods Park Offers Family Fun in White Plains

The family-friendly Saxon Woods Park delights with miniature golf, an ADA playground, hiking trails, and more in Westchester.

In colonial times, the park area was called Saxton Forest after William Saxton who operated a saw mill on the Mamaroneck River. Today it hosts the county’s biggest swimming pool, an aquatic playground, full-sized and miniature golf courses, and the county’s only playground accessible to the disabled. The trails are popular with hikers and horseback riders.

  • Proof of Westchester County residency required for entry to group picnics and pool with either a County park pass or a New York State driver’s license. Parking fee for group picnics: $5 with Park Pass, $10 without Pass.
