County walls are coming to vibrant life thanks to New Rochelle’s #NRNYMurals campaign. During its annual Arts Walk in May, the city unveiled 12 new pieces of public art scattered throughout the district. Curated by Street Art for Mankind in collaboration with the New Rochelle Council on the Arts and the city’s Industrial Development Agency, the works were the highlight of the city’s Mural Fest, and each is representative in some way of New Rochelle’s rich culture and history.
For those who want to delve deeper, all #NRNYMurals are linked by a free, downloadable app, Behind the Wall, featuring augmented-reality and audio-guide features.
