Netflix Series Starring Emma Stone, Jonah Hill, Films in Westchester

It’s the ‘Superbad’ reunion you’ll want to binge-watch.

Westchester is once again in front of the camera, providing a filming location for an upcoming Netflix series starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.

According to the Daily Voice, Carol Arrucci, co-owner of the Cortlandt School of Performing Arts in Croton, provided information about production occurring at the Bethel Nursing Home in Ossining. Lights and cameras were scattered all over the area along with a few cranes, Arrucci says.

While Bethel Nursing Home could not be reached to confirm or deny filming in the area, On Location Vacations reports the TV series Maniac featuring Emma Stone was filming on Thursday, August 31 on Narragansett Ave., in Ossining where the nursing home is located.

Stone and Hill were costars in the 2007 movie Superbad, but have not starred together since then.

The Netflix series follows Hill’s character, an inpatient at a mental institution that lives out adventures in his dreams. Stone’s character is also a fellow patient in the institution. True Detective’s Cary Fukunaga is directing the dark comedy, and other actors, like The Leftovers star Justin Theroux, have been confirmed for reoccurring roles in the show.

People recently published an article with photos of the costars on set sporting an 80’s retro style. The pictures show Stone donning a big, curly blonde hairdo, heavy makeup, and acid-washed jeans, while Hill sports a mullet, short-shorts, a jersey, and high tennis socks.

The release date for Maniac is currently unknown, but the series is expected to premier on Netflix in 2018.
