Kitchawan Preserve

In late spring, this property, a former research facility of the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, features an abundance of migrating birds and butterflies. Hiking through the preserve’s trails and unpaved roads reveals old stone walls that divided private properties and crop fields a century ago.
