Those who can’t decide whether to attend Westchester’s superb events, art house screenings, nearby Shakespeare fest, or musical performances no longer need to pick just one. Five major county cultural players have joined forces for the third year to offer a forward-thinking initiative called the Hudson Valley Summer Arts Pass, which allows visitors to experience each venue at a reduced price.

The Hudson Valley Summer Arts Pass is a discounted bundle of tickets to the season’s top events at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Historic Hudson Valley, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Jacob Burns Film Center, and Storm King Art Center.

The pass is designed to help consumers better enjoy the venues’ abundance of arts and culture offerings while diversifying their experiences. Those interested in the pass can find a link to purchase it at each of the participating organizations’ websites through June 30, 2024; the pass is priced at $195 for two people or $375 for four but valued at over $400 and $800, respectively. This year, the organizers added the option to purchase a four-person pack that doubles your fun this summer.

According to Edward J. Lewis, III, president and CEO of Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, the pass will help each organization bolster the others. “Music has the unique ability to unite people across geography, through history, and from all lived experiences. At Caramoor, we recognize and embrace the unique responsibility we have as arts presenters and, with our fellow participants, we create a welcoming and safe cultural community. We hope that Caramoor fans and newcomers alike will take advantage of this great deal and experience!”

The Jacob Burns Film Center’s executive director, Mary Jo Ziesel, adds that the pass opens new frontiers for local cultural consumers. “We love to collaborate with other arts and culture nonprofits in the region to offer a chance to try out the diverse cultural offerings we have so close by,” notes Ziesel. “The arts are a fun way to celebrate the summer, and patrons can enjoy a significant discount with all partner organizations while supporting arts in the Hudson Valley!”

John P. Stern, president of The Storm King Art Center, says, “Storm King is pleased to collaborate with nearby organizations to offer a unique way to plan cultural activities throughout the summer. I hope that the Hudson Valley Summer Arts Pass encourages people to visit somewhere they’ve never been or seek out a new experience.”

Those who purchase a pass will receive two or four tickets to a concert of their choice at Caramoor, two or four tickets to three historic sites/tours from the Historic Hudson Valley, two or four tickets to a weekday performance at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, a packet of four or eight free passes plus two or four free popcorn and soda coupons at Jacob Burns, and admission for two people on the day of their choice at Storm King Art Center.
