George’s Island Park

The Park offers a freshwater pond, tidal wetlands, wooded trails, nature study, picnic spots, and boat access to the Hudson River. In winter, this is a favorite spot for watching eagles on the Hudson. A trail network links the park to the Hudson River Greenway.

  • Admission and Fees: County park pass is not required for admission

  • Parking: $5 with pass, $10 without; weekends only May and September-October 1, daily May 27-Labor Day.

  • Directions: Dutch Street, Montrose

  • Park Hours: Open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to dusk, year-round.
