We adults may be planning huge family gatherings this time of year, preparing elaborate dinners, making reservations, and driving plastic rabbits into our lawns with wooden stakes, but Westchester’s kids know the true meaning of Easter: candy. Head over to these Easter egg hunts and maybe you’ll be lucky enough to snag the golden egg.
Spring Eggstravaganza
Recreation Field at Town Hall, Chappaqua
March 25, 9:30 a.m.
Bring your baskets over to the Recreation Field for the eggstravagant egg hunt that starts promptly at 9:30 a.m. This event is for kids 10 and under. There will be music by Zev and even a visit from the Easter Bunny!
Easter Egg Dive
Club Fit, Briarcliff
March 31. 6-7 p.m.
If you’re looking for a fun spin on your normal Easter egg hunt, try Club Fit’s underwater hunt. Eggs will be distributed on the surface, under the water, and on the deck. Egg hunters will be broken up into age groups, given a basket and 20 minutes to hunt and find the golden eggs to win a free group swim session. Post-hunt, families will have 40 minutes for a free swim.
Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard Egg Hunt

This egg hunt includes an egg carton for collecting your eggs, a set of bunny ears, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The hunt is for children eight years old and younger, and tickets cost $18. The farm has four egg hunts: April 1, April 2, April 7, and April 8. It also offers three age groups for the hunters: three years and under, four to six, and seven to eight years old. Each egg hunt lasts five to 10 minutes. Be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your start time.

Kidz Easter Celebration
Ridgeway Church, White Plains
April 1, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Ridgeway Church is opening its doors to local family and friends to celebrate Easter. This event will feature an egg hunt, pony rides, a petting zoo, and more and is free for all to attend.
Spring EGGstravaganza
April 1
Patriots Park, Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown
Celebrate the beginning of spring with an egg hunt. There will be prizes, eggs filled with goodies, and photos with the Easter Bunny at this local event. Children three years old and under will start their hunt at 10 a.m. Children four to five years old will start at 10:45 a.m. while those ages six, seven, and eight will kick off at 11:30 a.m. Register for the egg hunt here.

Salesian High School Easter Egg Hunt
Salesian High School, New Rochelle
April 1, 1- 3:30 p.m.
Head over to Salesian High School for a chance to take a picture with the Easter Bunny and participate in an Easter egg hunt. Tickets cost $25 per family, which includes both the picture and hunt.

Yorktown Annual Easter Egg Hunt
April 1
Downing Park, Yorktown
The Yorktown Lion’s Club and the Yorktown Town of Recreation Department will be co-sponsoring this year’s Easter egg hunt. The event will take place during three time slots: 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. in Downing Park. Children 12 and under are welcome to attend the search for colored eggs, snap a picture with the Easter Bunny, and try their hand at a jellybean guess. This event is only open to Yorktown residents.

Osborn Annual Egg Hunt
The Osborn South Lawn, Rye
April 8, 10:45 a.m. – 12 p.m.
These Easter eggs are stoked with candy and ready to be found! This event is free and open to the public. Plus, there’s a great lunch meal deal available when you work up an appetite from all that egg hunting. The event is named after the former Board of Trustees Chair Jack Miller. There will also be games, live music, and a photo op with the Easter Bunny.
Carole D. Kirby Memorial Easter Egg Hunt
Rye Recreation Park, Rye
April 8, 10:30 am.
The Rye egg hunt is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rye Fire Department and the Rye Fire Department. The hunt is free and made for those aged two through children in fifth grade. Egg hunters will be divided into different sections on the field and will be set free to hunt at 11 a.m. sharp. This egg hunt is for City of Rye residents only.
Rochambeau Farm Egg Hunt
Rochambeau Farm, Mount Kisco
April 8, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
This annual Easter egg hunt, with an appearance from the Easter Bunny, will have something for everyone. Kiddos can participate in the egg hunt, and there will be food, vendors, and more. Purchase your tickets online in advance or buy them day of.
