A Prairie Home Companion’s Radio Romance Tour Comes to Ives Concert Park in Danbury, Connecticut

It’s famously been reported that, in Lake Wobegon, all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average. Hey, that sounds a bit like Westchester, doesn’t it? So we should accept with open arms when a detachment from Lake Wobegon rolls through town, as it will when A Prairie Home Companion’s Radio Romance Tour comes to Ives Concert Park in Danbury, Connecticut, on July 25. Garrison Keillor will host, and performers include singer/fiddler Sara Watkins, comedian Fred Newman, and Rich Dworsky and The Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band. They’ll band together for two hours of roots music, duets, poetry, storytelling, and live radio plays.
