Rock out at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester this Friday night at one of the wildest parties you’ll ever attend. The Bizarre World of Frank Zappa will debut for the first time — ever — right here in Westchester, and it’s exactly as surreal as its name (and namesake) would suggest.
A motley assortment of obscenely talented original and guest musicians will come out to pay tribute to the late musician’s oeuvre, seemingly led by Zappa’s own flickering specter. Yes, it’s a hologram show, but one not only endorsed by Zappa, but carefully arranged under the direction of his son Ahmet Zappa to include between-song banter culled from years of interviews and live recordings. The show is as much a spectacle as any Zappa show would be, but it’s also a trippy celebration of Frank’s life and all that he stood for. Tickets start at $39.50.

In Tarrytown, Castle Hotel & Spa will be celebrating the eponymous castle’s 122nd birthday with all the timeless sophistication befitting an edifice that could very easily double as a Bon villain lair. The “Casino Royale” Gala will begin with an Aston Martin car show at 3 p.m. along with casino tables and displays from various luxury brands. Cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres will follow, leading up to a decadent five-course tasting menu complete with wine pairings. Tickets are $225 per guest. (Cash bar extra, depending on how many martinis you order, Double-O.)
Visiting relatives this weekend? Stuck in a house full of extended family? If you need a place to take the kids for a few hours, The Westchester is holding a delightful Disney Junior Music Play Date in the Connect Lounge. Your kids can enjoy crafts and activities including singalongs, photo booths, and more. Plus, the first 100 attendees will receive exclusive character cards as a free gift. (Attend all four Play Dates and you can complete the set!) While your kids tucker themselves out, you can take turns enjoying all the shopping, food, and entertainment The Westchester offers adults.

In a decidedly less kid-friendly event, Bedford Playhouse is hosting weekly viewing parties all month long now that Game of Thrones is back. Is your favorite part of Passover the plagues? Is the crucifixion the best part of any passion play for you? Well then celebrate this Sunday with your fellow Throners. Tickets start at the $25 Stark tier which includes your first drink, and goes up to a Premium Lannister ticket for $40 which includes two drinks. (Also make sure to stop by for the finale on May 19, which will also include a costume with prizes in each of male, female, and non-human categories!)
