The Prescription: How Better Farming Leads To Better Health

On Thursday, May 12, at 7:30 pm, David R. Montgomery and Anne Biklé, authors of The Hidden Half of Nature, will discuss the overlooked microbial world that underpins the well-being of plants and our bodies. In addition to the lecture, Explorer Ticket holders can experience a unique pre-lecture program: hors d’oeuvres, a hayride, conversation with farmers, a book signing, and an exploration of what resilient agriculture can teach us about our bodies and health. To purchase tickets ($20 for Lecture only; $120 for Explorer Ticket), click here. The remaining featured speakers in The Prescription three-part lecture series include Mark Schatzker, author of The Dorito Effect, on June 9, and Dr. Maya Shetreat-Klein, author of The Dirt Cure, on July 21.
