Increasingly, our lives reside in our smartphones. Problem is, smartphones break—and when they do, it can ruin much more than just your day. Fortunately, there’s a Westchester entrepreneur who has stepped up to address the issue, with his new business, uBreakiFix.
In less than 18 months, regional franchisee Seth Berkman has launched three sites—in Mount Kisco, Scarsdale, and, most recently, Mamaroneck—where on-the-go Westchesterites can get problems like cracked cases, broken screens and often even water damage repaired in as little time as their lunch hours.
Depending on the device and the damage, prices range from $70 to $180 and include a 90-day warranty on workmanship. “We’ll fix anything with a power button,” remarks Berkman, a Cortlandt Manor resident who discovered the company after his wife needed her own broken iPhone fixed. “We specialize in tablets, mobile devices, game consoles, and computers, both Macs and PCs.
Berkman says he intends to open two more Westchester uBreakiFix locations sometime in the next year.
