Living and loving Upstate New York after relocating from New York City.

Making new friends throughout the Hudson Valley.

New York. I love and sometimes miss New York City, with its incredible arts and culture.

Olana State Historic Site. The Hudson home, studio, and designed landscape of Hudson River School painter Frederic Edwin Church.

Pride Month. LGBT Pride Month is celebrated annually in June in honor of the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan, a catalyst for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. The Hudson Valley LGBTQ Pride March & Festival takes place in New Paltz on June 3rd. Worth mentioning twice!

Queer. A pejorative for gay, now being reclaimed by some gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered persons as a self-affirming umbrella term.

Reading classic novels. Favorites include East of Eden and House of Mirth.

Staying in bed late on weekends, which for me is 7 a.m.
