Challenge yourself, commune with nature, and discover confidence you never knew you had at Boundless Adventures, Westchester’s new aerial adventure park. Experience nine obstacle courses with zip lines, bridges, and rope challenges in an eight-acre hardwood forest park on the campus of Purchase College.
Lorrie and Brian Funtleyder launched Boundless Adventures this year, after experiencing their own aerial adventures during a family vacation. Feeling close ties to neighboring Purchase College, the Rye Brook-based couple began working closely with the SUNY school’s athletic department in 2014 to bring this facility to the campus.
The park is equipped with state-of-the-art safety systems and designed to promote the long-term health of its trees. “Our system minimizes impact to the trees and allows for years of unrestricted tree growth,” says Lorrie.
Park activities are geared toward all ages and occasions. Like ski slopes, the obstacle courses have varying difficulty levels. A yellow course is friendly to anyone 7 and up; green and blue are intermediate; black is not for the faint of heart. The park is open for a preview week, from March 31 to April 8; after that, it’s open Fri/Sat/Sun until June 11 and seven days a week thereafter.
