Ladies and gentlemen: The safest community in the United States of America is… Lewisboro?
Apparently, it’s true. Security website Safewise.com compiled crime statistics from the FBI and conducted its own research on public safety, public health, and educational offerings. They determined that Lewisboro is the safest community in the US and one of only three municipalities to report zero violent crimes* per 1,000 residents and the only municipality in the nation to boast a sub-1.0 crime rate against property per 1,000 residents.**
In fact, five Westchester communities made the Safewise.com top-100 list, all of which we’ve listed below.
