The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark just opened an hour and a half away, in Monticello, NY, and is making quite a splash.
Having cut the ribbon in May, the new 1,600-acre addition to the Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort campus (not affiliated)brings new family fun to the Catskills. But the complex is much more than just a waterpark. It’s also a 324-suite luxury resort with a modern, urban style, making for an especially trendy-hip weekend. With single- to three-bedroom suites available, the family can enjoy a slice of luxury with tons of activites.
But it’s the 80,000 sq. ft. indoor waterpark that’s dropping jaws all over. The largest indoor waterpark in the state, Kartrite boasts 11 water attractions, including an indoor play center and a number of pools and slides. From high-speed waterslides to a lazy, meandering river, the waterpark basically has something for everyone, no matter the mood.
“[With] locally sourced farm-to-table cuisine and luxury all-suite accommodations, Kartrite Resort offers nonstop entertainment for kids and kids at heart.”
But what if watersports aren’t your thing? Guests can chill in one of the private cabanas — with a fully stocked mini-fridge — available to rent. They may also catch some rays under the 60,000 sq. ft. Texlon transparent roof.
If all that weren’t enough, tap into your inner child at the Playopolis arcade or enjoy a little family competition at Van Winkle’s bowling alley and Amazequest laser tag. At day’s end, families can dine at any of Kartrite’s eight different bars and restaurants. They can dress it up for some fine dining or arrive in a swimsuit for some poolside eats.
“The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark presents a new, all-season vacation destination for families unlike anything else seen before,” says GM David Kohlasch. “[With] locally sourced farm-to-table cuisine and luxury all-suite accommodations, Kartrite Resort offers nonstop entertainment for kids and kids-at-heart.”
