The owner of Barn Door Restaurant in Ridgefield debuted his second restaurant in late November, Kitchen 273 (111 Bedford Rd, Armonk; 914.273.7909; www.kitchen273.com), in the space that formerly housed Armonk House.

The American menu with contemporary/Mediterranean flourishes offers starters such as corn-and-sweet-potato-risotto fritters, shrimp dumplings a la plancha, farro salad with roasted eggplant and caramelized onions, and six flatbreads. For mains, there are burgers ($12-$16), pastas ($18-$26), and plated entrées, including paella, slow-roasted baby-back ribs, mustard-glazed and panko-crusted salmon, and jumbo sea scallops ($20-$29).

Petite Taqueria: Larchmont (150 Larchmont Ave, Larchmont; 914.834.2244; www.ptlarchmont.com) has opened in the place of Estancia Buenos Aires Argentinian Steakhouse. Among the items on the short menu: street corn with mayonnaise, chili powder, and cojita cheese; crispy Brussels sprouts with cauliflower cream and chipotle purée; quesadillas (butternut squash, chicken adobo, carne asada); and, of course, tacos. Estancia Buenos Aires owner Fabián Gallardo, who was once culinary director at Manhattan’s La Esquina taqueria, is chef/partner. Kyle Inserra, previously of Polpettina, is also a partner.

Moon Pies, vanilla gumball cupcakes, Twinkie bundt cakes, strawberry Pop-Tarts, and a salted milk chocolate pretzel tart are just some of the sweet offerings at The Snackery Bakeshop (1985 Palmer Ave, Larchmont; 914.630.7001; www.snackerybakeshop.com). Self-taught pastry chef Sara Leland (a former TV executive) is the owner. The Snackery is in the location that previously held Sugar Mama by Kim’s Bakeshop.
