The owner behind Giannoni’s Deli in Scarsdale has opened Jackie B’s (28 Garth Rd; 914.874.5328) in the space that previously held Organic Pharmer. The 25-seat (15 or so more at the bar) Traditional American restaurant serves house-blend burgers, myriad salads and sandwiches, plus entrées such as barbecue baby back ribs, Cajun shrimp, Parmesan-herb-crusted salmon, and hickory-smoked brisket.
Go Fish (837 White Plains Rd, Scarsdale; 914.725.3450, ext 5), a mostly counter-service takeout eatery (there are 14 tables), debuted in March by Rick Ross of Eastchester Fish Gourmet and Eastchester Fish Market. Based on the popular takeout menu at the market, expect tacos (mahi-mahi, shrimp, chicken, pork), burritos, poke and salad bowls, chowders, and top-level fish ’n’ chips.
Drini’s Taverna has shuttered and in its place is Barnwood Grill (2 Old Tomahawk St, Yorktown Heights; 914.248.8100). Expect Traditional American fare, such as Kobe burgers, burnt-ends-brisket grilled cheese, shrimp and grits, pan-roasted codfish with tiger shrimp, grass-fed and hormone-free Black Angus steaks, homemade lobster ravioli, and lemon chicken.
Wild Fusion in Cambria Hotel has closed, and in its place is Sugar Shack (250 Main St, White Plains; 914.997.8427), billing itself as a “Southern-comfort restaurant and lounge.” On the menu: catfish tacos, fried chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits. Several moonshine-based drinks are among the specialty cocktail offerings.

Joey’s Cannoli (18 Division St, New Rochelle; 914.740.5051), a 16-seat espresso bar, debuted in February in the space that formerly housed Kaffeine Espresso Bar. Signature cannoli (there are 10 flavors, including butterscotch, caramel, peanut butter, pistachio, and white or dark chocolate), plus gelato, zeppole, sfingi, cheesecake, biscotti, and mini-pastries are on offer.
Expected to open later this summer is the first county location of global chain Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse (225 Main St, White Plains). The airy, soaring 15,000 sq. ft. space was previously occupied by a Chase bank.
One of the most popular restaurants in the county, City Limits Diner (200 Central Ave, White Plains; 914.686.9000), is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a raffle benefiting Feeding Westchester and Family Services of Westchester and an anniversary celebration day on May 24, when dine-in patrons get 25% off their bills.
