Crafts at Lyndhurst

One of America’s most popular contemporary craft events takes place twice a year at the opulent Lyndhurst estate in Tarrytown. In September, 300 artists and artisans offer craft demonstrations and sell one-of-a-kind creations.
New York Renaissance Faire
Through October 2
This lengthy celebration of everything medieval features brand-new multi-story Tudor Shoppes, as well as a Tudor Rose Stage that will play host to musicians and comedians. Visitors will also find food pavilions, rides, and games, including archery and axe throwing, during this event located in Tuxedo Park.
Arts & Crafts Beerfest
September 24 through November 5
ArtsWestchester organizes this traveling “exhibition” of the region’s finest brewmasters and beers, taking place in several cultural institutions throughout the county. New York State craft beers are paired with some of Westchester’s finest venues, including Harbor Island on September 24, ArtsWestchester’s own White Plains gallery on October 1, Copland House at Merested on October 29, and The Pelham Art Center on November 5.
Great Jack O’ Lantern Blaze
September 30 through November 13
One of the county’s most beloved Halloween traditions returns to Croton-on-Hudson’s Van Cortlandt Manor, with more than 7,000 illuminated, hand-carved jack o’lanterns.
Horseman’s Hollow
October 7–31
Sleepy Hollow’s Philipsburg Manor gets in the Halloween spirit with this eerie evening experience. Recommended for those 10 and older, this spooky journey takes brave visitors through a haunted trail and the ruins of Ichabod Crane’s schoolhouse. It’s a popular holiday experience that often sells out in advance.
Jay Ghoul’s House of Curiosities

Westchester’s only indoor Halloween adventure features a host of long-dead family members as they lead guests on a spooky tour of Lyndhurst mansion. Intrepid visitors of all ages are invited.
