Did You Know These Stats About Hudson Valley Restaurant Week?

It’s no surprise the eagerly anticipated event brings diners — and dollars — to area eateries.

The biannual Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) — which is actually two weeks long and held each fall and spring — is in the midst of another successful run, wrapping up on November 12. Now in its 11th year, the event provides an economic boost for restaurants during what are traditionally slower times.

  • During the event’s two weeks, restaurants report a 25% increase in patronage.

  • Three-course meals are fixed at $22.95 for lunch and $32.95 for dinner (excluding tax, drinks, and gratuity).

  • 8 counties featured are Ulster, Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Columbia, Dutchess, Rockland, and Sullivan.

  • More than 200 restaurants, stretching over 115 miles, are participating in this fall’s event, including Xaviar’s X2O, Crabtree’s Kittle House, 121, Sonora, Tarry Lodge, and MP Taverna.

  • 90% of attendees report they will patronize at least some of the featured restaurants after the event.

  • The media value promoting each HVRW event and its participants is estimated to be $4 million.

  • Roughly a quarter-million patrons will be served during this year’s event.

  • HudsonValleyRestaurantWeek.com received 775,000 unique page views for each two-week event.
