Roll over, Crayola. Step aside, Sharpie. Thanks to one Westchester resident, there’s a brand-new way for kids to color, and their canvas is the entire yard.
Color My Worlds, a family-owned company founded in 2015, seeks to inspire creativity while fostering a love of the outdoors with its easy-to-use, mess-free coloring kit. Color My Worlds was designed to work wonders on the frozen backyard snowscape that your beloved canine normally “decorates.”
Yorktown Heights resident Andrea Cane, founder of Color My Worlds, created the product after struggling to find new and fun outdoor activities for her three kids.
“I knew there was nothing like it on the market,” says Cane, whose product officially hit shelves in 2016 and which, she points out, also works well on white sandbox sand (for you summer-sun worshipers). “It’s fun and educational.” Cane uses environmentally friendly ingredients that are safe for kids and won’t stain. Just as cool is that Cane has her product fulfilled at a facility that employs developmentally disabled area residents.
