“I love the Great Jack O’ Lantern Blaze and have missed getting tickets for the last couple of years. Can’t wait to take the kids this year. Something about that time of year and being outdoors with thousands of lit pumpkins around you is just amazing.”
— Clayton Bushong, Director of Programming, Marketing, and Theater Operations, The Picture House
“Opening September 24, the Bruce Museum’s major exhibition of the fall is evocatively called Her Crowd, which comprises very recent works by contemporary women artists, collected by local collectors. It offers an overview of some of the most famous women artists working today, as well as emerging artists who will be the art stars of tomorrow.”
— Peter C. Sutton, The Susan E. Lynch Executive Director, Bruce Museum
“We love off-the-beaten-track finds, including the classical concert series at the beautiful and historic Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum on the Pelham/Bronx border, and the first looks at possible Oscar winners at The Picture House Film Club with Marshall Fine.”
— Gary Ryan, Associate Director of Development, Katonah Museum of Art
“I’m looking forward to Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Copper Beeches, a new play from a Sherlock Holmes novel, performed immediately following Black Friday in the mansion at Lyndhurst. This gives theatergoers a new way to experience Sherlock Holmes and Lyndhurst. Seeing a play move through a grand country house is an experience in itself for the audience.”
— Howard Zar, Executive Director, Lyndhurst
“A lantern tour of the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is one of the most interesting things to do during the Halloween season. While I’m super-busy with our own Halloween events, including the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze and Horseman’s Hollow, I’m eager to experience a midnight lantern tour there. I’d also love to see The Shining on the big screen, at The Picture House in October, as I’ve not had the pleasure of experiencing it “large,” so to speak.”
— Rob Schweitzer, Vice President of Communications and Commerce, Historic Hudson Valley
