If you fancy yourself a bit of a history buff or science nerd, touring this exhibit at Greenwich’s Bruce Museum may be the perfect way to spend a day. Explore the history of botanical collecting and the important role it had in society during the museum’s fanciful exhibit Pressed for Time, which features a wealth of incredibly fragile historical specimens of pressed plants. Just as the beautiful blooms were collected for both science and leisure, this exhibit can serve as a day of both learning and relaxation.

Two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and legendary folk singer David Crosby brings a dream team of musicians to The Capitol Theatre with his show David Crosby & Friends. Rockers Becca Stevens, Michelle Willis, and three-time Grammy Award winner Michael League will help breathe new life into some of Crosby’s most celebrated hits. The set list will feature titles from Crosby’s new album, Here if You Listen, as well as songs from the critically acclaimed Lighthouse.

What the Dickens?

Travel back in time to 1867 and venture through Lyndhurst mansion with Charles Dickens, played by Mikel Von Brodbeck, to meet Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, and Tiny Tim. Mr. Dickens Tells a Christmas Carol adapts the legendary man of letters’ own script from his real-life journey through the United States to share the beloved holiday tale of these timeless Christmas characters.
