LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester has selected six Westchester children, ages 5 to 10, to act as special ambassadors for their Yonkers location at Ridge Hill. They will join six other children from the NY-Metro region to form the 2018Creative Crew.
Croton-on-Hudson resident Benjamin Cady (age 8), Buchanan resident Victoria Calabro (age 10), Yonkers resident Alexander Gutierrez (age 7), Cortlandt Manor resident Bryan Heindl (age 10), Mamaroneck resident Wynn Petchor (age 5), and Mount Vernon resident Chelsea Marie Phaire (age 8) will assist LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester’s Master Model Builder Anthony Maddaloni with a range of exciting activities.
The announcement followed a two-month search during which submissions were evaluated based on the creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm reflected in their LEGO models. The Creative Crew will participate in exclusive building sessions, attend and report on special events, and have the opportunity to test out new rides and games. Each member of the crew also receives a 4-pack of family passes for the year.
“I’d like to design and run a LEGO amusement when I grow up,” says Benjamin, before adding: “I also want to be a comic creator, artist, or scientist.”
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester stimulates young minds to imagine, discover, and create by offering a wide range of educational and interactive elements. Visitors can see LEGO representations of New York’s top landmarks, learn secrets from the master model builder, experience indoor soft play, and enjoy two LEGO rides and a 4D LEGO movie.
