Though Westchester is home to several of the largest companies on the Fortune 500, it’s our small businesses that are truly the engine of our economy. That’s why we love compiling our annual Small Business Awards feature, which salutes a select few of these small-business superstars. This year, we feature 15 stellar organizations in four categories: General Excellence, Outstanding Minority-Owned Small Business, Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business, and Outstanding Nonprofit. (All organizations must have fewer than 50 employees, have been in operation for at least two years, and have maintained a location in Westchester; winners are selected by the editors from a pool of nominations submitted online earlier this year.)
