With origins stretching back to the 1640s, Pound Ridge—comprised of Pound Ridge, Sarles Corners and Scotts Corners—is known for its country vibe, while still maintaining somewhat of an elegant environment. Originally populated by Mohican Indian tribes, the town gradually expanded during the 19th and 20th century and today encloses a total of 23.5 square miles.

Beyond its reputation for being home to a large number of artists over the years (actor Richard Gere presently calls this northeastern Westchester town his home) Pound Ridge boasts a variety of restaurants, antique shops, and the county’s largest park, the 4,700-acre Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.
