Since 1952, the staff at Sts. John and Paul School in Larchmont, NY, has learned a thing or two about the best way to educate. The community-focused school provides a balanced education emphasizing the importance of faith, academics, and service. In this way, students receive a well-rounded experience that focuses on the whole person. This has proven a particularly effective approach.

However, what really sets Sts. John and Paul School (or SJP) apart is its people.

The entire SJP family is a community worth knowing. Faculty, administration, students, parents — everyone works together to provide an unparalleled foundation for their leaders of tomorrow.

A Seven-Decade Legacy of Going Beyond Grades

When you join an academic community, you’re looking for more than just rigorous academia. You need to know that your student will be safe, will grow as a person, and will start becoming the best version of themselves.

At Sts. John and Paul School, the staff knows that guiding students this way requires creativity, time, and care — so that’s what they provide, knowing it makes a difference in the lives of their students.

The teachers at SJP take time from their busy schedules to give individualized attention to all students; administrators go above and beyond to create a nurturing environment for the whole school. Middle-school students are frequently assigned younger study and prayer partners to strengthen intra-community bonds.

The emphasis on interpersonal respect, community strength, and whole-person development means that an SJP graduate is more than just prepared for high school. They have the skills to tackle life after SJP with generosity, inclusion, and cooperation.

A Practical Emphasis on Serving Others

SJP students serve society and help those in need regularly. The school has partnered with several local organizations to feed countless individuals, provide hot breakfasts, supply wrapped lunch bags, and fill area pantries with a bounty of canned goods.

The students are not only aware of the importance of these initiatives; they make them happen. Recently, students at SJP participated in a Math-a-Thon supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. By doing so, they raised thousands of dollars to support a cure for childhood cancer.
