Bleakley recently expanded its service areas to include a dedicated Land Use & Zoning Law practice area. In establishing this new practice group, the Firm has welcomed two new partners, Brian Quinn and Lino Sciarretta, who will head a new Rockland County office – further expanding the Firm’s presence in the Hudson Valley region. We are proud to provide uninterrupted legal support to clients and increase our services during the pandemic.
Attorney Quinn has represented commercial lending institutions in complex commercial mortgages, construction loans, asset based lending, and creative financing. He has prosecuted numerous commercial foreclosures and has represented commercial lenders in preserving and enforcing creditors’ interests after debtors have filed for bankruptcy. Thoroughly familiar with local and state zoning practices, procedures and environmental law, Attorney Quinn has represented many of Rockland County’s major companies and developers on land use and zoning matters.
Attorney Sciarretta has held the positions of Town Attorney for the Town of Clarkstown, NY, and Village Attorney in several municipalities. He has considerable commercial litigation and transaction experience and has represented governmental agencies, developers, municipalities, and private-sector clients in zoning, real estate development, civil rights, discrimination in employment, and environmental matters. He brings to bear his substantial experience representing clients before state and federal courts on zoning and land use controversies, as well as environmental and real estate matters.
With the addition of a new practice group, new partners, and a new office, Bleakley Platt & Schmidt looks forward to serving Westchester and Rockland counties – as well as the New York metropolitan area, at large – in 2021 and beyond.
