The Talent Den
Our school’s success is seen in our students’ high NYSSMA scores; their performances On and Off Broadway; and through our award-winning film students and accomplished classical, pop, gospel, and R&B artists. We are a school of firsts! In 1996, our small band of five students made historical accomplishments as the first Afro Caribbeans to win The Cultural Heritage Competition in Advanced Piano. We train students of all ages and disciplines to be successful professionals in the entertainment industry through our Artist Development and Master Classes. Our Acting students have auditioned and placed in prestigious BFA programs in the country’s top universities. Actors also learn to successfully master the stage and film, while musicians master their instruments, theory, and music history. Professional original stage shows, written by new playwrights, are featured every semester, and vocal and instrumental recitals every quarter.
