Challenge: I want a new chandelier over my dining room table. How big should the chandelier be, and how far above the table should I hang it?
Solution: It’s often said that the right chandelier diameter is the sum of the length and width of your dining room — a 30” diagonal chandelier for a 14′ wide x 16′ long space — but this advice doesn’t consider the size of your table, and a huge chandelier over a smaller table looks off balance. We suggest a chandelier with a diameter no more than half the length of your table, hung 30” to 36” above your tabletop. Our chandeliers come with customizable chains for perfect positioning.
