Q. What is the primary focus of your practice?
A. Pregnancy and the birth of a healthy baby are two of life’s most precious miracles. At the Center for Reproductive Medicine, we help make the dream of parenthood a reality for couples experiencing infertility.
Q. Please describe the infertility treatments you offer.
A. I offer the full range of reproductive treatments, including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI), and treat women of all ages. In addition, I have a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic and infertility surgery using laparoscopy, robotic and hysteroscopy, as well as fertility preservation (egg freezing), both elective and for cancer patients.
Q. In what ways do patients benefit from minimally invasive surgery?
A. In many infertility patients, potential anatomical etiologies (endometriosis, hydrosalpinx, fibroids) are often overlooked. Using minimally invasive surgery (MIS) (fiber optic tubes inserted through small incisions), these can be corrected, and many patients end up conceiving naturally or having their chances markedly improved with IUI and IVF.
Q. What was the focus of your specialty training?
A. I am board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Following my OB/GYN residency training, I completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I then joined Weill Cornell Medical College for a second fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. In 2019, I was named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility.
Q. How successful is your Center’s Donor Egg program?
A. The Center’s Donor Egg program has been enormously successful. Our Donor Egg nurses, coordinators, and psychologists work closely with me to ensure an optimal match between donor and recipient as well as to guide patients through the egg donation process.
Q. Where do you perform your surgical procedures?
A. I perform surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital and The Ambulatory Surgery Center of Westchester, both in Mount Kisco. I also perform robotic surgery as well as conventional hysteroscopy and laparoscopy at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
